Walking Group
The walking group had a lovely walk around Helsby this week. we walked along the hill and into Harmer’s Wood, then through the quarry. As all good walks should, we ended up at the tea shop!
A lovely walk and we didn’t get too wet!
July Meeting
Our July meeting had an American theme as it was 4th July so we had a go at some line dancing! We had a great time and some of us managed to keep in time!

We took along our Cheshire Show entries for the group to see, and Cath and Gill made more of their delicious cakes for everyone to try.

Cheshire Show – Individual entries
Four of our members submitted individual entries in the Cheshire Show and all did really well!
Cath’s biscuits, 3rd Prize! Gillian’s cake, 2nd Prize! Vivien’s duck, Highly Commended! Sylvia’s bag, Commended!
To have 4 entries which all received a certificate is something that Frodsham WI is proud of. Well done to you all
We should also mention that some of us were judges’ stewards and some of us helped with refreshments and stewards during the Cheshire Show itself. It’s great to get involved with WI events happening in our area!

Frodsham WI entered a table into the Cheshire Show – our theme was Australia This is a group entry and four members made something to show, although we discussed it as a team so it was a team effort!

Susan made a lino print of an Emu
Sylvia decorated a boomerang with Aboriginal Dot Painting
We earned points for staging and interpretation and we received a ‘Commended’ certificate for our efforts. Well done ladies!
Bowls Team
Our Bowls Team played Moore and Daresbury last night.
Ann and Marian achieved a very respectable 10 points
Well done to all the team! We are a new team and welcome new members of any level!
